What is OMPAI?

The One Million Pads Initiative (OMPAI) is a pioneering project by Beulah Foundation Limited that aims to address menstrual health challenges and promote environmental sustainability in Malawi. OMPAI is dedicated to providing girls and women with access to eco-friendly reusable sanitary pads, helping them manage menstruation with dignity while reducing environmental waste.

Our Mission:

OMPAI seeks to empower women and girls by ensuring they have access to safe, affordable, and sustainable menstrual products. Through this initiative, we strive to break the silence surrounding menstruation, reduce absenteeism in schools due to lack of menstrual products, and foster environmental responsibility.

Why Reusable Pads?

In Malawi, many girls and women struggle to afford sanitary products, leading to health risks, missed school days, and social stigma. Disposable pads not only contribute to these challenges but also generate significant plastic waste, posing a threat to the environment.
